DraftSeason: Cliff, you are a versatile player who has lined up at defensive end and
linebacker for the Boilermakers, is there one position that you prefer over
the other and which do you see yourself playing at the next level?
Dennis: I played linebacker for Purdue for two and a half seasons then they moved me mid
season last season to d-end. I like standing up and rushing so there's really no
preference but if I had to choose then I would stand up and rush the qb instead
of out a three point stance.
DraftSeason:You have played alongside some guys like Anthony Spencer and Ray Edwards
who have gone on to have success in the NFL, what are some things you have
learned from them on the field and in the way the approach the game?
Dennis: I was real tight with Anonthy Spencer when I moved to the d-end position
because he was the other end and I learned alot from him because it was all new
to me. He taught me a lot of things in rushing the passer and in stopping the
run. The thing I picked up most from Spence and Ray is to just hustle every
play and things will happen for you.
DraftSeason: In the Big Ten you are facing stiff competition on a weekly basis, who in
your opinion was the best player you ever faced in your time with Purdue?
Dennis: The guy I think I faced that was real nice was Joe Thomas out of Wisconson.
He was a real athletic person to be so big. I guess thats why he went 1st round.
DraftSeason: If you could sack any current NFL quarterback who would it be and why?
Dennis: If I could sack any QB in the league it would be Payton Manning only because
there's so many Indy guess on my team right now, and that would shut them all up.
DraftSeason: What do you enjoy doing when you aren't busy ripping it up on the football field?
Dennis: I keep to myself for the most part so when I'm away from football I'm either
chilling at home or probably shopping, looking for some shoes. I'm a big shoe fan.
DraftSeason: What are some words you would use to describe your style of play?
Dennis: I don't know...Just athletic and hard working...I guess.
DraftSeason: Do you have any nicknames that our readers should know about?
Dennis: Naw Cliff is fine
DraftSeason: Last question: What is your all time favorite movie?
Dennis: My favorite movies are: Bad Boys 1 & 2, Life, and Belly
