Bears 2013 NFL Draft Team Needs

Chicago Bears Team Needs

Quick look at the Bears top needs heading into the NFL Draft (pre-free agency).

1. Offensive Line
RT, LT, and LG all need to be upgraded in the worst way considering their top two weapons are Matt Forte and Jay Cutler.

2. Middle Linebacker
Urlacher’s future gets muddier every day he isn’t resigned and that team needs someone to lead that defense.

3. Wide Receiver
Brandon Marshall has been good and Alshon Jeffery may develop into a good number two, but a slot receiver would do wonders for opening up that offense.

  1. I am on board with needs # 1 and 2, but Wide Receiver? Tight End, yes. Wide Receiver, no. I would put WR behind TE as well as OLB and Corner. Once we get to the 5th round, it will be best available anyway. Without having a third round pick this year, listing WR as a need is a waste of space and effort.

  2. The lack of depth requires the bears to trade down and acquire picks. Although late picks dont always translate to starters the bears are old in many places. I doubt we’ll be as lucky with injuries this year.

If we keep the pick I’d like to see some defensive picks early this year.
