12. New York Giants - Mike Evans WR, TAMU
The Giants are very unlikley to bring back Hakeem Nicks this offseason and would be very tempted by Evans here. He’s a massive target who showed well at the Combine and pairing him with Cruz and Randle would give the Giants a triangle of pass catching authority.
13. St. Louis Rams – Ha Ha Clinton-Dix S, Alabama
The Rams need an impact player at safety and Ha Ha is the top of the class in this draft in my opinion. I’m not as confident in this pick as I once was, but I still think it’s one the Rams should make.
14. Chicago Bears - Aaron Donald DT, Pitt
Donald had a great Senior Bowl and followed that up with a stellar Combine. He will come in like a wrecking ball lined up next to Henry Melton and would improve this defense immediately.
15. Pittsburgh Steelers - Taylor Lewan OT, Michigan
Another year, another offensive tackle being mocked to the Steelers. They still haven’t solved their offensive line woes, and almost seemed cursed. Lewan gives them a top shelf left tackle prospect who should be able to keep defenders off of Big Ben.
16. Baltimore Ravens - Marqise Lee WR, USC
The Ravens need another target for Joe Flacco as Anquan Boldin was severely missed this past season. Lee is a smooth route runner with good size and would fill a much needed role as a chain mover lined up next to the speedy Torrey Smith.
17. Dallas Cowboys – Timmy Jernigan DT, FSU
The Cowboys need a defensive tackle who can penetrate and create ruckus in the backfield in order to make their Tampa 2 scheme work. Jernigan is coming off a sub par Combine, but he has some great tape showing what kind of destructive penetrator he is. He’ d be a solid choice for the Boys here.
18. New York Jets - Eric Ebron TE, UNC
The Jets need offensive playmakers in the worst way. Geno Smith showed flashes at the QB position but has to become more consistent. Having a solid young tight end to throw to like Ebron would definitely help his development.
19. Miami Dolphins - Zack Martin OT, Notre Dame
The Dolphins replace one Martin with another. Zack’s stock is on the rise after an impressive Senior Bowl. He is extra valuable as he can play basically every position on the offensive line, and Miami just may need him to do that.
20. Arizona Cardinals – Darqueze Dennard CB, Michigan St.
The Cardinals don’t like what they see here at OT so they go defense instead. Dennard is a physical corener with good size and top shelf speed. Pairing him in the same secondary as Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu would be just downright sick.
21. Green Bay Packers – Louis Nix III NT, Notre Dame
Recent reports out of Green Bay is that the team does not believe in BJ Raji. If that is truly the case the team could look for his replacement here especially if Nix is still on the board.
22. Philadelphia Eagles – Dee Ford OLB, Auburn
The Eagles defense needs to improve. Two logical choices here would be Dee Ford or safety Calvin Pryor from Louisville. I’m going with Ford because if the pass rush improves it won’t matter who you got playing safety, if the QB is constantly under duress.
